Our Mission
One Strange Night aims to create a catalog of unique, historic, and strange accommodations across the United States. In reviewing, recording and photographing the experiences of different hotels, we hope to forge a lasting record of America’s longest-running establishments, in addition to the weird and wonderful lodgings that exist outside of the umbrella of standard franchises. We strive to shed some light on such establishments, bring them to the public, and show people how they might enrich our lives – even when they’re just looking for a place to sleep.

Finally, we aim to document their existence and history to preserve a living record.
